PATH TOWARD
THE BIERZO

EDITORIAL

Senda Hacia El Bierzo is my End of Degree Projectan initiative that stems from the deep need from make visible the phenomenon of Spain Empty from a graphic design perspective with a strong emphasis on social character. More than a tourist guide, this project is a plea in defense of the value of the rural environment, a first volume of a collection that seeks to revalue these territories and the stories of those who inhabit them.

My objective is clear: transform Silence and Abandonment into Visibility, Opportunity and a Promising Future. The guide focuses on the region of The BierzoThe perfect canvas to showcase the natural, cultural and human richness that often goes unnoticed.

Why a publishing product?

At the heart of this project lies a minimalist philosophy: "Less is More". I have refined the design to the maximum so that the content -the stories and landscapes- is the real protagonist. The chromatic palette is based on off-white, which evokes purity y calmand blue, which symbolizes the serenity and the connection to the nature.

To ensure visual harmony and legibility, I have used a modular grid The ten-column layout provides order and structure throughout the pages. A distinctive element is the removable girdle that concentrates the synopsis, allowing the main front page to remain exceptionally clean and uncluttered, reflecting our esthetics y purpose.

Commitment and sustainability

This project goes beyond design: it has a deep commitment with the sustainability. We prioritize the use of recycled or recycled paper. FSC certification and eco-friendly inks to reduce our environmental footprint. By choosing responsible materials, the guide remains consistent with the respect for the environment that we promote in its content. It is a reminder that every design decision can contribute to an future more sustainable.
